Meet the Designer

Self-portrait of Vanessa.

Hello!

I grew up in Seattle surrounded by museums, galleries, local art, and an unreasonable amount of time spent wandering around the city. That early curiosity shaped how I see design today: as a way to make ideas tangible and help people connect with something new.

I’m drawn to product design because it sits at the intersection of creativity and problem-solving. I like digging into the why behind a problem, making sense of messy information, and turning it into an experience that feels simple without being simplistic.

I recently completed Designlab’s AI for UX Design course, a 4-week intensive program, where I experimented with tools like Claude, Figma Make, and Stitch - and figuring out where AI genuinely improves the design process rather than simply making it faster.
